Artist Profile of Darbi "Marbles" Conradt

My name is Darbi Conradt, but most people know me as Marbles. Since I was young, I have had a passion for creating art and experimenting with different mediums. Whether it's drawing designs for myself or my loved ones, I am always striving to grow and improve as an artist. This drive has influenced my life and career from an early age.
In 2012, during my senior year of high school, I took on an apprenticeship at Extreme Graphix, the local tattoo parlor. This was the beginning of my journey towards becoming a tattoo artist. After five years there, I moved on to Mellow Madness Tattoo to learn from other talented artists. It was there that I developed my unique style, incorporating bright colors and cartoon-like elements into my work. After another five and a half years at Mellow Madness, I had built a loyal client base and outgrew the space I was in.
In early 2022, I started planning for my own private studio where I could focus solely on my clients without the distractions of a busy shop atmosphere. By October of that year, all the paperwork was finalized, remodeling began, and I officially became the owner of Fire Flower Tattoo Studio located in South Town Plaza at 3333W Henrietta Rd. Rochester, NY 14623. On January 1st, 2023, the studio opened its doors and will serve as my home for the foreseeable future.
Having settled comfortably into my studio over the past year, I've decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Although I will continue to work from my studio, I have made the decision to once again attend and work at tattoo conventions, I'll also be expanding to apply for artist alley spots at anime conventions. For a while now, creating stickers, prints, and apparel has been a beloved side project of mine. And now, I believe it's time to share these creations with a wider audience beyond just my online store and studio store front. I am filled with excitement as I begin this journey of traveling and sharing my art, eager to learn from those I meet along the way.
